Joe Biden gives party in the White House

In June, the "Pride Month" is celebrated worldwide. Joe Biden's US government invited representatives of the LGBTQI scene to this occasion - and experienced something surprising.

“Pride Month” in June always means protests, parades and parties. Because the rights of homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals should be pointed out as loudly as possible – and with “Pride”. Because people of every sexual identity or orientation should be able to be proud of themselves and be allowed to show it.

That’s what happened in the White House. There, US President Joe Biden invited to a garden party and exchanged views with representatives of the LGBTQI scene. Together with his wife Jill, he spoke to the people, posed for pictures and gave a speech at a lectern in the garden of the US official seat of government. “You are beautiful, you are heard and you belong,” said the 80-year-old. He called those present “some of the bravest and most inspiring people”.

This included Rose Montoya, a transgender model who has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram alone. There may even be a few more in the future, as Montoya drew attention to himself with an action at the White House party. The 27-year-old bared her breasts and posted a video of it on social media.

A friend who recorded the video can be heard in the background: “Are we really topless here at the White House right now,” she asks. Rose Montoya doesn’t seem to mind, she grins broadly at the camera, covering her breasts only with her hands. As it looks in the chronology of the clip, which is now circulating on the Internet, Montoya had recently spoken to the President and the First Lady.

They posed for selfies together. In the clip, she exclaims, “Trans rights are human rights.” The post on Instagram also contains a comment on her motivation. There she writes: “I had the honor of attending ‘White House Pride’, the largest party in history where the ‘Pride’ flag was raised for the first time.” That triggers “trans joy” in her, according to Montoya.

In another video, she also points out that it’s not illegal to go shirtless in Washington DC. Apparently her video went viral and triggered critical comments about her action.
