A 5.4-magnitude earthquake shook Japan on Thursday, leaving eight people injured, the Japan Meteorological Agency informed.
The epicenter of the latest earthquake in Japan epicenter was in Nagano, and it hit Japan at 08:16 local time. It was followed by a 5.1-magnitude aftershock only five minutes later. Nagano prefecture and neighboring areas were mostly effected by the earthquake.
Japan earthquake : No loss of lives
Seven of the injury victims are people older that 40 years and the other is a girl, police said.
A 9.0-magnitude earthquake and following tsunami devastated wide zones of the northeast of Japan on March 11.
