Tehran / NationalTurk – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday granted clemency on commuted sentences of 1,002 Iranian prisoners, convicted at Iran’s general, revolutionary or military courts.

Ayatollah Khamenei granted the amnesty on the occasion of Islamic Republic Day on March 31.

The amnesty was requested by Head of the Judiciary Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani and was approved by the Supreme Leader.

The inmates have been convicted by the public, Islamic revolution and armed forces courts.

Iran Clemency to inmates to increase the number of foot soldiers ?

The Supreme Leader granted the amnesty as per Article 110 of the Constitution upon recommendation from the head of the Judiciary.

Reports indicate Iran is increasing the number of foot soldiers prior to an possible Israel-Us joint attack on Iran and will use the now ex-inmates as fodder vs Us invasion.
