iPod Touch already sold out – in the US
That happened quite quickly: just a few hours after the press release about the end of life of the iPod, the device is sold out.
Apple announced last night that the iPod Touch is being discontinued. The company wanted to sell the iconic music player while stocks last. The device is now completely sold out in the US in the official online store. All combinations of color and storage space can no longer be placed in the shopping basket, the site simply claims “Sold out”. In Germany, on the other hand, you can get the iPod Touch either as a new device or refurbished without any problems, but it is to be expected that stocks in this country will soon dwindle. Originally packaged iPods sometimes have a high collector’s value, but it’s mostly about the rare series like “Michael Jackson Special Edition” or the like.

All colors and versions are currently available in the Apple Store: space grey, gold, silver, pink, red and blue.

Apple Store Refurbished
Refurbished iPhone Touch are also available from Apple’s Refurbished Store. These devices are in particularly good condition and can hardly be distinguished from new devices. The choice of colors is quite limited here.
