Inter Milan beat AC Milan 2-0 to go nine points clear at the top of the table with fierce rivals AC Milan in second spot.

The on-edge derby saw Wesley Sneijder sent of at the early stage of the Inter Milan Vs AC Milan derby, but Inter Milan was already ahead by a goal to nil through a Diego Milito strike who capitalized on a defensive mistake by AC Milan.

Sneijder’s early dismissal did slow Inter’s attack, but AC Milan was very weak in all areas of the field and could not use their extra man advantage as they would have liked.

The game was largely dominated by Inter Milan who topped their beautiful performance by scoring a free kick through Goran Pandev towards the end of the game.

The game finished on edge with Lucio being sent of after two yellow cards and AC Milan receiving a penalty which Ronaldhinio took, Julio Cesar saved the penalty with a fierce dive which summed the game up for both teams.

The derby was the first defeat David Beckham saw at the club since his second loan spell.
