India’s newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi is searching for right men to induct them in the cabinet of the ministers.

New Delhi, May 20/Nationalturk – India’s to be Prime Minister Narendra Modi is searching for right men to induct them in the cabinet of the ministers.

After his rightwing Hindu party BJP’s win in Indian general elections, Modi, who was declared as prime ministerial candidate by BJP ahead of polls, is holding talks with his senior party leaders on formation of the government.

Led by Modi, BJP won its biggest mandate ever in the general election, taking 282 seats on its own and 336 with its allies.

The 63-year-old is expected to be sworn in as India’s 15th Prime Minister this weekend.

Modi has held many rounds of talks with his party leaders to search the right men for their induction in the cabinet of ministers.

Modi has also held talks with leaders of BJP’s parent organisation RSS.

Rajnath Singh likely to be Interior Minister

Sources said BJP’s party present Rajnath Singh is front runner for the power of powerful Interior Minister (Home Minister).

“Another senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley, who lost parliamentary election to a Congress nominee in Punjab, is set to next Finance Minister of the country. He has served as a commerce minister during previous BJP-led coalition government in India,” they said.

They further said another senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj may get either Defence or External Affairs Ministry. “Ravi Prasad, another senior leader is too lobbying for External Affairs Ministry”.

“Modi’s close aide Amit Shah may be given Railways portfolio.  Another senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi may be given an agriculture ministry,” they said.

Sources said former Indian army chief General (Retd) V K Singh, who won his maiden election for Indian parliament, may become junior minister of defence.

“Senior party leaders Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani, Poonam Mahajan, Kirit Somaiya, Kalraj Mishra, Ananth Kumar, BS Yeddyurappa, Sumitra Mahajan and Rajiv Pratap Rudy may also be inducted in the cabinet,” they said.

Sources said BJP’s senior leader and former deputy chief minister L K Advani may be given post of Speaker of Indian parliament.
