This statement tells you where Chavez’ intentions lie.
He’s tried changing the Venezuelan Constitution so that he can be leader for life. Just like his idols Castro & Gaddhafi.
What’s next – he’s going to praise Idi Amin?
He’s bought the support Venezualan Poor – who don’t realize that he’s really ruining the infrastructure and economy of their country – in order to hold on to power.
A real leader and statesman would recognize & respect the consitutional limits on his power – and work within that limit to ennact changes to help the lower classes and the needy.
Chavez is nothing more than a classic latin american strong-man/generalissimo totalitarian leader.
He has more in common with Augusto Pinochet than Simone Bolivar!
