Besiktas board and chairman Yıldırım Demirören, stirred a confusion in the sport press in Turkey, by signing Hugo Almeida in the transfer mid-season from Werder Bremen for 2 Mil. Euro by letting an Ireland based funding company ‘ISC Football’ be the financial sponsor of the deal. Later it was revealed that the company belonged to Jorge Mendes, a prominent agent in European soccer, agent of footballers such Christiano Ronaldo or managers like Jose Mourinho.
NationalTurk reported that the Hugo Almeida transfer deal is in no possible way lucrative for Besiktas FC.

The newest fact about the deal reveals now, this deal is not only uneconomical for Besiktas FC benefits, one of its clauses also keeps Besiktas Jk to appeal to FIFA, if any disagreement should occur between the parts. Chairman Yıldırım Demirören claims to have the transfer rights of Almeida and adds that Almeida can’t change for another team without Besiktas’ permission. However its a fact that Besiktas can’t act freely on the transfer issue without the approval of the funding company.
What will happen, if Besiktas and Hugo Almeida come upon an unagreement and where can Besiktas JK appeal to? The answer to the latter should be FIFA, so would any logical football fan answer. But not in this case! A scandalous clause in the deed prevent the turkish giants from appealing to FIFA under those circumstances

FIFA’s negative opinion to the transfers through funding companies is a well known fact. The funding company is also well aware of the situation, thus they put a clause into the agreement, securing the upper hand against Besiktas board and the chairman Yıldırım Demirören on a possible Hugo Almeida move in the future.
