Helena Fisher: I was close to burnout

With her Thomas Seitel she is on cloud nine, and hit star Helene Fischer enjoys mom life in private.

But there was a time when her work was difficult: The singer has now revealed that in 2019 the job became too much for her.

“I have always really, really enjoyed working and have worked a lot. And at some point, I don’t think you even notice that you’re in a tunnel,” Fischer said during a half-hour interview on the “Gredig direkt” program on Swiss television SRF.

“It almost sounds a bit like burnout,” said moderator Urs Gredig (52). The singer’s honest answer: “I was probably about to.” During this time she felt “a little empty”.

She went on to say: “If you, as an artist, no longer really feel any emotions, if you only find everything exhausting, you have to be honest with yourself and step on the brakes.”

But she “thank God still got the curve,” said Helene. During the following corona pandemic, almost all concerts were cancelled. The “Breathless” singer took the opportunity – and took a month-long break.

Helene had already reported on a talk show in 2019 that she was tired and sick. At that time she said in the SRF interview: “At some point you have to be careful not to lose yourself.”

Nevertheless, the singer is going on another mega tour next year: 70 concerts are planned in Germany and neighboring countries! Rehearsals are in full swing.

Your recipe for success against the hammer stress: Meditate and your closest environment!

“I’m lucky that I really have a very healthy relationship with my family. I have a really great circle of friends, they are small and fine. And I’m still perfectly normal. And you do things together, you’re crazy, young, stupid – everything that goes with it,” revealed Helene in the SRF interview.

The power singer: “That always brings me a bit down to earth.”

And: if things were stressful at work, the job at Fischer is only briefly discussed. Then there is everyday life, shopping and cooking, for example. Not a hit, just Helene.
