NT tells you what you need to know about the appearance of Axl Rose and Co. / Guns N’ Roses in Hanover
The US rockers Guns N’ Roses last performed in Hanover in 2017. At that time they played their “Not in this lifetime” tour and the stadium was still called the HDI Arena. On Friday they will end the corona-related stadium concert lull in the Lower Saxony state capital.
Admission, support bands and end: How does the concert work?
Admission to the Guns N’ Roses concert at the Heinz von Heiden Arena begins at 4 p.m. From 4.45 p.m., Dirty Honey, the first opening act, will appear. At 5:45 p.m., Gary Clark Jr. Guns N’ Roses will rock Hanover from 7:45 p.m. Expected end is at 10:45 p.m.
Are there still tickets?
Apart from the interior, the ticket distributor Eventim also offers tickets for all seating areas in the various price categories. Price range: 58.25 euros to 149.90 euros. Hannover Concerts expects a total of around 40,000 spectators. By the way: The concert takes place without entry conditions regarding mask and distance requirements or access restrictions (3G/2G/2G+). Nevertheless, the organizer recommends observing the rules of distance and hygiene and also wearing a mask.
How do I get to the concert?
By car: Because the Schützenplatz is currently still occupied for the dismantling of the Schützenfest, there are no large parking spaces available in the immediate vicinity of the Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena. Hannover Concerts therefore recommends traveling to and from the event by public transport.
By public transport: Concert-goers are entitled to travel to and from the concert by public transport from three hours before admission. To get to the Heinz von Heiden Arena, take trams 3, 7 or 9 (Waterloo stop) or 3, 7 or 17 to the Stadionbrücke stop. You can also easily get to the concert by taking the 100 and 200 buses to the Robert-Enke-Straße stop.
By bike: There is a large bicycle parking lot on the green area in front of the Stadionbad.
How will be the weather?
In the largely unroofed interior of the HDI Arena, the weather must of course be right for a proper concert feeling. And fans are lucky: Temperatures of up to 20 degrees are predicted for Friday evening. In addition, it should stay dry with partly overcast skies. Tip: pack a sweater.
