Moscow will not participate in the Greenpeace proceedings before the International Tribunal. The Dutch government asks Russia to release 30 activists from the environmental organization – they are at risk following a protest up to 15 years in prison.
Russia wants to boycott a trial before the International Tribunal for the arrest of 30 Greenpeace activists. The Dutch government had called the court, they demanded the immediate release of environmentalists.
Moscow had informed the Dutch government and the ITLOS that it will not participate in the proceedings, citing the state news agency RIA Novosti, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
