Getir, which operates in nine countries, will lay off 14 percent of its employees.
Getir, which is one of the inventors of the fast delivery business model of consumer products in the world and received an investment in March with a valuation of approximately 12 billion dollars, decided to lay off 14 percent of its employees.
A source close to the subject stated that the company took this decision to reduce costs on a global scale and due to the increasing inflationary environment in Turkey. The news first appeared on the US broadcaster Tech Crunch.
The company, which employs about 32 thousand people in nine countries, will lay off 4 thousand 480 people. Getir currently operates in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal and the USA as well as its main market in Turkey.
