Germany voices concern over Turkey Israel relations
German Chancellor Angela Merkel voiced concern Tuesday to visiting Turkish President Abdullah Gul about the recent rising tensions in Turkey Israel relations and urged him to end the rift.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul met German Chancellor Angela Merkel during his four-day visit to Germany. She pressed Germany’s concern and interests in Middle East are hurt by the ongoing Israel-Turkey diplomatic dispute.
Abdullah Gul visited Angela Merkel at her Berlin office, one of his calls during a four-day official visit to Germany, where more than 3.5 million people of Turkish origin put together the most visible and active ethnic minority group.

The German and Turkish sources state Turkish president Gul and German Chancellor Merkel set out their own views on the controversy over whether Turkey’s membership should be accepted to join the European Union.
