Mesut Özil, the German National side star of Turkish decent had certainly shined in the World Cup and has been recieving significant interest especially from the Premiership.

However the new Nike advert staring Mesut Özil shows the 21-year-old star in 2050 as a retired old footballer, has put question marks in viewers minds in to what the advert is trying to say or the meaning of the ad.

The Nike advert named “Episode 3” lasts for 2.30 minutes and has already been aired on German TV and on the Internet.

Özil his filmed in a huge mansion with white hear, a butler and two models.

One German news agency which wrote of the advert on Wednesday said “We hope, today (Wednesday), we can make the Spanish look old.”

Well that’s a thought for some Germans to dwell on as the national side actually lost against Spain on Wednesdays World Cup Semi Final 1-0.

Mesut Özil who also spok of the advert to a news agency said “I am proud that I played in an advert like this, I always wondered what I would look like in the future.”

I suppose the ad was a quick re-installment of the pre-World Cup Nike adverts in which all the stars in the ads were all eliminated after their respective teams took the long corridor back home.
