Georgia Firefighter suspended after gruesome footage of car accident victim

A firefighter in the United States has been suspended from duty pending an investigation after gruesome cell phone footage of a woman who had died in a car crash emerged.

Dayna Kempson-Schacht who was killed in a car crash on 17 July.

It has been alleged that the video footage of Dayna Kempson-Schacht who had died in a car crash was passed around between the firefighters was filmed by one of the servicemen who was present at the crash site.

The video footage had also seen by Dayna Kempson-Schacht’s grieving parents.

The Georgia fire department has confirmed that a firefighter filmed the Dayna Kempson-Schacht after it had emerged that she was killed.

A statement released by county attorney Jim Fortune said “Spalding County considers the taking of the video and sharing it in this circumstance to be, at minimum, a grave error in judgment.

“County officials want a full assessment of whether any laws, ordinances or policies may have been violated.”

While a statement from the fire department wrote “The video was recorded after the initial responders had determined that Ms. Kempson-Schacht had been killed on impact and there was nothing that could be done for her.

“Later, that video was shared with other firefighters and ultimately with people outside of the department including Ms. Kempson-Schacht’s parents,”

The devastated mother of Ms. Kempson-Schacht, Lucreta Kempson said “When I close my eyes, it’s not fair that that video is what I see of my daughter.”

A report of the investigation will be presented at a board meeting on October 25.
