Police in France are on the hunt for a woman or women who are allegedly planning an attack in France after a controversial law passed in the country banning the burkha.

According to intelligence agencies the attack is thought to be planned to be carried out in one of the transport systems in Paris.

French police have taken the threat very seriously and armed police have been deployed to search all transport areas.

British tourist have also been alerted to be on alert for any suspicious activity.

Some senior politicians and public figures are also being assigned armed bodyguards in case of an attack.
