Paris / NationalTurk – A gunman has shot dead a teacher and three children at a Jewish school in Toulouse. The deadly shooting occurred outside a Jewish school.
The shooter has opened fire in front the Ozar Hatorah Jewish school in Toulouse, France,in the north-east of the city, early morning just as students arrived, killing four, injuring one, French officials stated.
The father and his two sons and another child are the victims of the France shotting targeting Jews in a school. The shooter, who arrived and fled from the Ozar Hatorah school on a scooter or a motorcycle, ‘ shot at everything he could see ‘ stated Michel Valet, a local prosecutor being one of the witnesses in the area of shooting
Shooting at Jewish School Leaves Rabbi, 3 Kids Dead in France
The adult victim Jonathan Sandler was thought to be a rabbi who taught at the Jewish school, who died with his three-year-old and six-year-old sons the 3- and 6-year-old Gabriel and Arieh. Jonathan Sandler, a French-Israeli national, had left Israel last September to begin a two year teaching stint at the school, according to the Le Parisien newspaper. The 4th victim, not older than 10 was the school headmaster’s 8-year-old daughter was the school principal’s daughter. A 17-year-old and two other students of the Jewish school were shot and seriously wounded.
According to the witnesses of today’s shooting, the killer arrived with two weapons, and one jammed at the horrific scene at the drop-off point for nursery- and primary-age students.

A father whose child attends the Jewish school told ‘ I saw 2 people dead in front of the school, an adult and a child … It was a vision of horror, the bodies of two small children,’. ‘ I did not find my son. Apparently he fled when he saw what had occurred. How can they attack something as sacred as a school?’
‘ Just because we are different doesn’t mean we should be slayed,” another student’s father, in tears, told the local newspaper Sud Quest from outside the school.
The attacker and killer of four fled on a scooter, in similar style to the killer of three soldiers in two separate incidents in the same part of France last week.
French police link former attack to Monday’s school shooting
French police state they have locked Toulouse down as they launched a man- hunt for the Jewish school killer, and the French government tightened security at all religious sites in France, particularly Jewish schools. More than 60 police officers, including an elite anti-terrorist unit, are helping with this investigation after they had already sterted examining the attacks on the French troops.
On Thursday, two French soldiers were killed and a third wounded by a shooter on a scooter as they used an ATM in Montauban, about 30 miles away from the Jewish school. The soldiers who were killed were of north African and Caribbean origin. Two of them were Muslims.
Whether today’s jewish school shooting is linked to two other incidents is being investigated by federal authorities since the shooter targeted his victims while driving a motorcycle in the same area can be the same. Last Sunday, a paratrooper out of uniform was killed by a gunman on a motorbike outside of a gym in a suburb of Toulouse.
The same caliber weapon – a .45 handgun, referred to in France as an 11.43 – was used in the shootings last week and this morning, police officials told local media. Officials admit there are similarities between the incidents but state there is no hard evidence yet linking them.
‘ It is too early to link the different shootings araound Toulouse, however there are certain similarities between these shootings: same modus operandi, same area,’ French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet announced.’ The shooter in all these cases was very determined.’
French President Sarkozy on Jewisc school shooting : This is a national tragedy !
French President Nicolas Sarkozy,who is running for re-election flew immediately into Toulouse, described the attack as a “national tragedy”. He has called for all schools in France to observe a minute’s silence on Tuesday and vowed to hunt down killer. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, , flew to Toulouse, which is about 425 miles south of Paris.
“Whatever happens,” he stated, ‘ faced with this kind of toll, we can say that the French Republic as a whole has been hit by this appalling tragedy.’ The French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, added there were “similarities” between Monday’s Jewish school attack and the shootings of four soldiers in Toulouse and nearby Montauban last week.
Speaking in Toulouse, Sarkozy claimed: ‘ We are struck by the similarities between the modus operandi of today’s drama and those last week even if we have to wait to have more elements from the police to confirm this hypothesis.’
