BBC 1 Soap opera EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth reveals her fantastic bikini body aged 57.
She was 30 when she started playing Kathy Beale but 57-year-old Gillian Taylforth looks as good in a bikini as she did back then.
And the former EastEnders star has revealed her slimline figure is down to a strict regime that means she never has a day off from some form of exercise.
Gillian reveals: “In the past couple of years, I’ve started doing Zumba three or four times a week, which really keeps me in shape.
“I have a set of three hand weights from Argos, so I try to do a few reps of those every day.”
Gillian adds she is “shocked” that people find her sexy. “I’m actually not good at accepting compliments,” she admits.
Not to be outdone by Paula Hamilton who stripped entirely naked in a magazine last week, Gillian Taylforth has decided to flaunt her flesh in a photoshoot too.
Posing in selection of bikinis the 59-year-old has stripped for Closer magazine this week, who she’s told:
‘It really shocks me that people think I’m sexy! I’ve never seen myself like that.
‘But I’m doing this shoot so I can look back when I’m old and grey and remind myself that I was quite all right once.’
And she’s certainly proved that much – we’d be happy if we had her body shape now, never mind at 59.
Speaking of which, the former EastEnders star has revealed that the secret to her slender body is Zumba, plus a couple of weights from Argos.
‘In the past couple of years, I’ve started doing Zumba three or four times a week, which really keeps me in shape’ she revealed.
‘I have a set of three hand weights from Argos, so I try to do a few reps of those every day.
She also adds that healthy eating is the key to staying slim, but at the moment she isn’t considering more drastic measures to stay looking good. She added:
‘At the moment, I wouldn’t have surgery. I’m really lucky that my face has held up as long as it has, but never say never.
