Foo Fighters: Entire tour cancelled

The Foo Fighters have canceled all tour dates following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.

The US band Foo Fighters (since 1994) has canceled its remaining tour dates via social media. “It is with great sadness that the Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the devastating loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins,” the statement said.

“We regret that and share the disappointment that we will not see each other as planned,” it said. “Instead, let’s use this time to grieve, heal, hug our loved ones and cherish all the music and memories we’ve made together. Love, Foo Fighters,” concludes Taylor’s bandmates’ post Dave Grohl (53), Pat Smear (62), Chris Shiflett (50), Nate Mendel (53) and Rami Jaffee (53).

The tour cancellation also affects the concert in Berlin, which was postponed to June 2022 due to the corona pandemic. “The purchase price can probably be refunded soon – information on the procedure has not yet been announced,” reports the “Rolling Stone”.

The band’s next performance is scheduled for April 3 (Sunday) at the Grammy Awards; it is unclear if they will still perform. After the Grammys they should go on a world tour.
