FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa Group Stages – South Korea vs Greece 2-0
South Korea has won their first group game against Greece 2-0 in a game largely controlled by the Asian side.
A 7th minute strike by Jung-Soo Lee, and Manchester United midfielder, Park Ji-Sung’s 52nd minute goal was the final blow for the Greeks who have failed to score a single goal in the world most popular sporting event.
However Greece did plunder a few chances notably in the second half but it is fair to say that South Korea deserved to win.
It was also a very gentleman like game with only one yellow card throughout the 90 minutes which Greece player Torosidis received on the 56th minute.
