FEMEN women rights group strikes with another topless protest. Femen’s target was the Henri Delaunay Trophy, commonly known as the Euro Cup, which will be awarded to the winner of the Euro 2012.
Kiev / NationalTurk – Topless chicks from FEMEN the Ukrainian women’s rights group attack Euro 2012 trophy relentlessly. Topless FEMEN activists staged a second attack on the Euro 2012 trophy, grabbing it while it was on public display in the southeastern Ukrainian province of Dnepropetrovsk before being seized by Ukranian police.
The 21 year-old FEMEN activist Inna Shevchenko peeled off her top, revealing her breast and the words ‘ Fuck Euro 2012 ‘ on her bareback torso and grabbed hold of the 60 cm high Euro Football Championship cup while it was being exhibited in a central square in Dnipropetrovsk.
The famous trophy was on display in the Ukrainian city of Dnepropetrovsk ahead of the Euro 2012 kick off in June.
The women, reportedly French journalist Emma Aels and longtime group member Inna Shevchenko, removed their upper garments and knocked the trophy to the ground in protest. The Kiev-based women rights group Femen is focusing its topless protests for women’s rights on next month’s Euro 2012 soccer tournament, which Ukraine is co-hosting with Poland.

The Femen women claim the Euro 2012 football tournament will provide an unwelcome boost to the sexual tourism industry in Ukraine, a country where most women are largely considered to be prostitutes worldwide. Femen adds taht Euro 2012, which will take place in Ukraine from June 9 to July 1, will lead to a surge in prostitution in the former Soviet republic and entrench Ukraine as a sex tourist destination in Europe.
As security guards moved in on FEMEN protester, another FEMEN activist, standing next to the cup ostensibly waiting to be photographed by sightseers, stripped off to the waist to display the same slogan.

‘ Platini’s Euro-roaster was taken down together with the pedestal it was attached to after FEMEN attacked it in Kiev,’ the Femen activists’ official website reports.
Femen organisers of protets state the second activist was a 46-year-old French journalist from a French women’s magazine. ‘ She also supports our struggle against sexism and prostitution and decided to take part,’ says Femen spokeswoman Anna Hutsol.
Both Femen activist topless women were arrested by Ukranian police.
Another Femen protest was staged in Kiev earlier this month, seizing hold of the same cup while it was on public display in the Ukranian capital, again topless.
The 8 kg (17 lbs) Henri Delaunay cup is on a tour of Ukraine so Ukrainians can have souvenir photographs taken of themselves alongside it.
