Lonely Planet, the Global travel and Guidebook Company, has named Addis Ababa as one of the top ten cities in the world to visit in 2013.
Addis Ababa / NationalTurk – The Ethiophian capital is placed 9th in its Best in Travel 2013 edition and is the only African city to appear in the top ten. The Ethiopian metropolis and diplomatic hub, renowned for its rapid development, is highlighted as best for culture, food and value for money.
Lonely Planet said that destinations make the list for a variety of reasons, including special events, recent developments or buzz, or that the destination is up-and-coming and worth visiting before the crowds get too big. The annual list is compiled on the basis of the views of the company’s staff, writers and online community. Addis Ababa, this year, is celebrating the 125th anniversary of its foundation when the city came into existence.
The city is notable for its calm and violence free for both tourist and the indigenous people. Visitors and tourist all over the world are hereby encourage to visit this ancient city to learn more about history and many more about Ethiopia and the African heritage in this wonderful city.

It is not too much for a country where both science and religion proved the orgin of man kind.
Yeah. Addis is getting bigger and more attractive everyday in all aspects — be it culture, entertainment, beauty, etc! Life is getting a little bit expensive for the locals, but this will not be an issue for tourists.

We are welcome our visitors. Ethiopia is unique as legend tell as heaven, i.e from the Bible it was the place called heaven where God creat man and leave to live. Next it is the source of all knowledge of the world, i.e Ethiopian litratures found in the Vatican library and antiques in Britain muzium are evidence. Ethiopia is the only country having its own calender. It is the only country having 13 months a year. It is the country with all types of weather conditions. It is an amazing news for us Ethiopians and for tourists as well.Ethiopia is a vast country with a poplation exceeding 80 mln,the weather is good, people are kind and friendly,it is peacefull and with no security threat we have a very strong and democratic government etc. So really Ethiopia is a blessed country endowed with natural amenties and affordable to visit. Well come to the land of 13 months of sunshine.
