England’s boss, Fabio Capello has announced his 30 man squad with a few surprises on board.
The inclusion of Jamie Carragher who has been called out of International retirement as the England team is having huge problems in defense due to injury.
Rio Ferdinand has already been on and off this season with back problems and John Terry, has also given a scare to Capello after an injury scare on Wednesday during training for the FA cup final against Portsmouth.
Also with Ledley King suffering from knee injury which marked the central defender out of the 2006 world cup constantly reoccurring, England have major worries in defense.
Without any doubt England’s defense is one of the best in the world with the likes of Rio Ferdinand and John Terry leading the way, but only if they are fit.
The midfield has always been a strong point of England with the main suspects anchored such as Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard . But who do you take out for the 23 man team?
Joe Cole is arguably a certainty with the attacking midfielder not getting back to his glory days after returning from a long spell off due to injury.
Then we have the right wing. Aaron Lennon has been in, impeccable form this season for Tottenham, but with such an good record by Theo Walcott at international games, who can you choose?
The best striking pair up would arguably be Wayne Rooney so long as he is not injured, and Jermain Defoe, but with the towering hight of Peter Crouch and the power and experience of Emile Heskey along with the explosive form of Darren Bent for Sunderland, it will not be easy what so ever.
England Preliminary Squad

Capello knows what is best for England because he knows that England is not used to winning cups so by picking that squad for the world cup i think is the best.
I Think English Team Is The Best Team In The Worid.English Team Will Win This World Cup Because Of Rooney.the Whole People Of Bhandara Are Willing To See This World Cup.
My God bless England for atitle hope.
I think that England will deffinately not win the world cup, they don’t have a good enough squad. Capello’s should get sacked.
what is Capello thinking. Why has he put Emile Heskey and Ledley King in. And where’s Agbonlahor, Carlton Cole & Ashley Young!
i think there should be no caraggher, james, crouch, heskey bent
i dont see whats the reason of no ashley young, surely,he is better than walcott
where is agbonlahor? and whats the meaning of taking heskey and bent
ENGLANDS PROBLEM IS GOING TO BE SCORING GOALS IF ROONEY GETS INJURED. TAKING CROUCH AND HESKEY IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE, THEY ARE CLUB PLAYERS AND WILL NEVER MAKE INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS.
What was Fabio Capelo thinking by taking Carragher,David Jmaes and theo walcoot.Theo Walscott is one of the worst players ive ever seen in the england squad.
Two things I can’t understand. Where’s Gabby Agbonlahor?
How on Earth Capello could select David James over Paul Robinson is worthy of the attention of Hercule Poirot of Sherlock Holmes!
*baines
Take carrick out and carragher and Heskey and Parker and upson and haines and warnock
W@ abwt Calton Cole instead of Heskey?
All good apart from in the nets. we are so in trouble there!!!
