Chelsea’s Captain John Terry is suspected to have suffered a broken metatarsal at a training session for the FA Cup final against Portsmouth on Saturday.
The incident which occurred in the Cobham facilities, one of the training ground of Chelsea FC while the Blues were preparing for their FA cup Final clash with Portsmouth on Saturday.
If confirmed, the former skipper who was stripped off the England captaincy due to his off field antics, will have a major blow to his chances of appearing in the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
It will also be a major blow to the 29-year-old Chelsea Star and England’s prospects in the World Cup 2010.
The News will also have a great effect on the plans of England boss Fabio Capello.
The Chelsea Clubs official website wrote “John Terry has today taken a knock in training and has gone to hospital for a precautionary scan on his right foot,”
“He left Cobham walking freely in a protective boot, and we await the results which are expected on Thursday.”
With the latest news, it looks likely that the Chelsea captain could miss the FA cup Final against Portsmouth in Wembley on the 15th of May.
