Now Elon Musk reacts with clear words.
Business Insider reported on Wednesday that tech billionaire Elon Musk has nine children, not seven, as was previously officially known. Court documents available to t-online confirm: The entrepreneur became the father of twins in November 2021.
A few hours after the news broke, Musk posted several posts on Twitter – with a clear reference. “I’m doing my best to fight the underpopulation crisis. A collapse in the birth rate is by far the greatest threat to civilization,” wrote the 51-year-old. He also congratulated everyone who has “a large family”.
Back in May, Musk published a graph showing that the average number of babies born to women in the United States fell from more than 3.5 in 1960 to just over 1.5 last year. This is definitely not enough.
Twin mother is Musk’s associate
According to the documents, the twins, who were born in November, are mother to Shivon Zilis, who works as a senior manager at Musk’s brain implant company Neuralink. Accordingly, the 51-year-old and the 36-year-old applied to a Texas court in April to change their names. The babies should “have the father’s last name and the mother’s middle name,” it says. The application was granted in May.
According to “Business Insider”, Zilis is said to live with the children in a multi-million dollar mansion in a gated community in Austin. Musk recently spent more time there after opening Tesla’s new “Gigafactory Texas” on the outskirts of town.
In March, musician Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, confirmed that her second child with Elon Musk had been born by surrogate at the end of last year. They gave the girl the name Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, but usually call her Y. Her big brother was born in May 2020 and is named X Æ A-12, X for short. The entrepreneur also has five from his marriage to writer Justine Wilson more children.
