Duchess Kate and Princess Anne on their first date together
Premiered by the British Royals. This week, Duchess Kate and Princess Anne appeared together for the first time. The two organizations visited.
For the first time, Duchess Kate and Princess Anne made a joint appearance on Wednesday. The two have often stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with other high-ranking royals or attended church services. However, there has not yet been a highly official appointment that only the two of them make on behalf of the Queen.
The Queen’s daughter and the wife of Queen’s grandson Prince William visited two midwifery organizations in London of which they are patrons. One is the Royal College of Midwives, which Princess Anne has supported for 20 years, and the other is the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, whose patron Duchess Kate has been since 2018.
Both organizations have a common headquarters, to which the 71-year-old and the 40-year-old traveled together. The two royals officially opened a center for women’s health on site and, among other things, held a round table discussion with experts from the industry and with new mothers.
Both Kate and Anne opted for a tone-on-tone look for the performance. The Duchess of Cambridge chose a belted cream blazer and matching skirt. She wore her hair loose and slightly wavy at the ends. The Princess Royal performed a coat in a dark shade of green and paired it with a coordinating scarf.
Anne and Kate are part of the “New Firm”
As the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported last week when announcing the date for Duchess Kate and Princess Anne, the two women are part of the “New Firm” founded by Queen Elizabeth II. Prince William, Prince Edward and his wife Countess Sophie are also included. These representatives of the royal family are to work more closely together, both in person and virtually.
The “New Firm” is a reaction to the departure of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan as high-ranking royals in 2020. To date, the two had also made numerous appointments on behalf of the crown.
