Along with the curfew, a large presence of police and the army on the streets put people off from carrying on the violence.
It is suspected that over 460 people have been killed and over 1000 wounded in the city after Muslim and Christian gangs clashed which lasted 4 days.
State government spokesman Gregory Yenlong said “the curfew has been relaxed because there is some difficulty with displaced people wanting to go back to their homes and access basic needs of life”
