Cooperation between Turkey and Venezuela

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez received Turkish Energy &Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız. At the meeting Chavez expressed his desire to visit Turkey. / World News

Chavez called Turkish Housing Development Administration (TOKI) to take part in housing projects in Venezuela.

Turkish Energy &Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız received by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. The closed-door meeting took place at the Presidential Palaca in capital city Caracas.

After the meeting Turkish minister Taner Yildiz has made an explanation about the conversations. Yildiz said, “Venezuela is a country which our contructor did not go. I think Venezuela is the country may have a potential to open up new countries. By the way Venezuela offered to Turkish side a place which can product 200 thousand barrels per day. This is a huge and attactive area for any country.”

Turkish Petrolluim Joint-Stock Partnership (TPAO) General Menager Mehmet Uysal said “The meetings were very positive. They want to store their 4 million barrel oil in our country and Venezuelan oil can be stored in Turkey. As you know Turkey is al transition point for oil. We will prepare to make an store area.”
