Seven countries will attend concerts in Havana
Artists from seven countries will attend concerts in Havana, summoned by UNEAC and the Cuban Institute of Music, announced Organizing Committee sources.
The event, dedicated to the Cuban chamber music for vocal and instrumental music ensembles, will gather representatives of Spain, El Salvador, Denmark, Mexico, United States, Italy, and Cuba from October 28 to November 5, added the sources.
Ada Gentile and Adriano Ambrosini (Italy), Maria Antonieta Tello (Mexico), and Mercedes Zavala (Spain), are among the foreign guests.
The event will also have the presence of prominent soloists, choirs, chamber orchestras, and Cuban instrumental ensembles that will perform works of prestigious composers such as Harold Gramatges, Leo Brouwer y Juan Blanco.
The Saint Francis of Assisi Convent will be the stage of the opening and closing of the concerts, presided by maestro Guido Lopez Gavilan, internationally acclaimed as director and composer.
