Carlos Tevez’s claims that he was ‘ treated like a dog ‘ by the fuming Roberto Mancini during infamous Bayern Munich game has been dismissed by the Manchester City manager.
London / NationalTurk – Manchester City’s Tevez returned to Manchester this week, ending a self-imposed three-month exile / vacation in Argentina after he was found guilty and shelved by Manchester of refusing to warm-up during City’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.
But Tevez, despite saying he wanted to get back into the City side, arrived back in England after giving a lengthy interview on Argentinian television hitting out at his treatment by Mancini. Tevez revealed there that Mancini and Dzeko shared unpleasant words in the bench, after Dzeko was taken out by Mancini. Mancini had instructed Tevez to warm up in a ‘ harsh ‘ fashion, what Tevez regarded as unnormal and then refused to play under such circumstances.
Tevez Mancini Manchester City Saga – Second chapter with Tevez’s return from exile
Tevez told the show hosts, his relations with Manchester City fans had been intentionally disturbed by City board, although he was ready to play for Manchester City, a typical display when someone swallows his own words.
Another issue arising out of this whole Tevez- Manchester City saga is Roberto Mancini’s infamous claim that Carlos Tevez will never play for the club again. It was clear even when it was made that it was a very rash statement from the hot tempered Italian manager. He shouldn’t really have even been allowed to publicly make that admission. The whole incident itself, from a media perspective, was certainly handled incredibly badly. Until all the facts were determined and confirmed, the issue should have been dealt with within the club. We all knew it was a bold statement to make, and it placed him in a predicament.

Roberto Mancini 2012 : I have treated Tevez ‘ too ‘ well
But again, if Mancini accepts the apology and admits his mistakes, says that he has changed his mind and the issue has been dealt with, you have to respect Mancini for that. If Tevez’s return means that City have that little extra in the title race, then Mancini will take that risk, and all credit to him.
Speaking ahead of City’s Europa League clash with Porto on Thursday night, Mancini said he was keen to focus on the match ahead but did address Tevez’s comments.
“I don’t want to answer your question because the game is more important than this,” he said.
“But I answer this question and then no more, because we have this game.
“It is an important game against a top club like Porto.
“I totally disagree with Carlos, what he said, because I never treated him badly.
“Maybe the opposite, I treated him too well, always.”
Carlos Tevez is not with the Manchester City team in Portugal as he begins a training regime designed to get him back up to match fitness. He has not been registered in Man. City’s European League squad.
