Television personality Cheryl Cole’s brother Andrew Tweedy has been arrested by police investigating an armed robbery.
Andrew Tweedy, 29, was one of nine people held over the robbery.
Aides to X Factor judge Cheryl refused to comment but she was said to be “in shock”.
In the attack robbers waved a gun and machete at customers and staff before making off with thousands of pounds. Cops arrested nine people, including one woman, in connection with the robbery.
A police spokesman said: “A vehicle and firearm have been recovered.”
Cheryl told an interviewer last year that she still hoped her brother could change his life.
She said: “He’s got a baby now and I’m hoping that will be his turning point.”
