Chelsea are targeting a move for Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna, while Theo Walcott also remains a target for the Blues.
Chelsea are on the look out for a new right-back following the departure of Jose Bosingwa, who has left on a free transfer, and according to reports Sagna is a target.
The France international is seen as the ideal replacement but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has no intention of cashing in and Chelsea face a battle to land him.
Having released Jose Bosingwa, the west London outfit are on the lookout for a new right-back and France international Sagna fits the bill. They are also keen to add pace and width to their line-up and Walcott, who is now in the last year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, is an attractive option. Caught Offside has suggested Chelsea will aim to lure both players across the capital with the promise of a huge hike in their salaries.
Walcott is also a target and it looks as though an audacious double bid could be made this summer. Chelsea realise Walcott has yet to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and with the winger just having 12 months remaining on his current deal a sizable offer from Roman Abramovich could tempt them to sell.
Arsenal are keen to get Walcott tied down to a new deal but just like Robin van Persie, there is a chance the player could leave for cash this summer or on a free in 12 months time.
gud 4 Chelsea FC
