Chelsea are back on top of the Barclays Premiership league table after Manchester United replaced them for just 24 hours on extra games before Chelsea hammered Stoke City 7-0 to go back on track to be the league champions.

The man of the match for Chelsea was Salomon Kalou, who scored a hat-trick but please to not down play the wrest of the Chelsea outfit.

Frank Lampard managed to score twice including one from the penalty spot, while Sturridge and Malouda were able to put two late goals on the 87th and 89th minute respectively.

This was the third time Chelsea have scored seven goals in a single game in the Barclays Premiership with the first being against Sunderland on the 16th of January, with the game finishing 7-2 and the second being on the 27th of March not one month ago where they frashed Aston Villa 7-1.

Another very important note was that non of the West London sides main strikers scored during the game. Both Anelka and Drogba failed to go on the score sheet. Also another impressive feet from the blues is that they have scored 93 times this season including 28 goals in their last eight games.
