Cathy Hummels lands a guest role on “Dream Ship”
On November 26th, Florian Silbereisen goes on board the “dream ship” with prominent reinforcements. Presenter Cathy Hummels will also be there, among others.
The ZDF series “Das Traumschiff” has been flickering across viewers’ home screens since 1981. There have been five different captains in almost 50 years.
The newest of them is pop star Florian Silbereisen, who has been playing Max Parger since 2019. He will also be seen in the additional episode “The Dream Ship: Walvis Bay”, which will run on November 26th. Cathy Hummels and “Tatort” star Dietmar Bär are also there.
The ex-wife of footballer Mats Hummels will appear in the additional episode, as ZDF confirmed at the request of spot on news. In her role, the influencer apparently has to deal with a relationship with a large age gap. “Tatort” actor Dieter Bär will also appear in the episode. His series character has to do with a paternity conflict.
The broadcaster hasn’t yet revealed what else awaits viewers – but promised one or two surprises. “The journey of the ‘dream ship’ to Swakopmund is full of surprises, especially for Captain Max Parger – even if his is still very small,” it said in a statement.
“The role was fun”
In any case, Cathy Hummels seems to be really looking forward to the broadcast. The “Battle of the Reality Stars” presenter shared a screenshot of a newspaper article about the upcoming “Dream Ship” episode in her Instagram story and expressed her excitement about it. “The role was fun,” said the 35-year-old.
It’s not the first time that Cathy Hummels has tried her hand at acting. In 2021, for example, she appeared in a new edition of the cult series “X-Factor: The Unbelievable”. She also landed a guest role on “Unter uns”.
