Canada outraged by pedophile hokey coach getting a pardon.
The news of Graham James, a convicted paedophile getting a pardon after serving 3 1/2 years in prison has outraged the Canadian public.
The former coach who molested junior hockey players including future NHLer, Sheldon Kennedy was pardoned from prison three years ago but came to light after an unknown accuser contacted Winnipeg police.
The office of Canada’s Prime Minister were so shocked of the pardon said it is a “deeply troubling development that demands an explanation from the parole board”
The 58-year-old hockey coach pleaded guilty to sexual assault when two former teenage players that were coached by James came forward including ex-NHLer Sheldon Kennedy with reports of sexual abuse from 1984 to 1995. James was sentenced in 1997 for 3 1/2 in prison.
Sheldon Kennedy called the pardon “a slap in the face” while Theoren Fleury another former NHL player, who revealed just last year that he also was sexually abused by James said the news was “extremely disappointing”.
In 2009 there were almost 40,000 pardons issued in Canada. The pardon prohibits convicts from working with children or miners but employees can never find out the past convictions as it is erased.
The Prime Ministers office has said that the law will be going into review to make it extremely difficult or impossible for sex offenders to get pardons.

I am outraged at such a pardon. Sheldon will carry a life time sentence. That coach will not.
