Bruce Springsteen: Philadelphia concerts canceled

Bruce Springsteen has to cancel planned concerts

Concern for Bruce Springsteen: The singer had to postpone two concerts. The background is said to be his poor health.

Rock star Bruce Springsteen is currently on his “Springsteen and E Street Band 2023” tour and was originally scheduled to play at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16th and 18th. But to the disappointment of his fans, the 73-year-old had to cancel the two concerts.

With the words: “Due to Bruce Springsteen’s illness, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia have been postponed,” the artist’s team announced on X (formerly Twitter) with the followers. The two concerts are now to be postponed.

“Health is more important than anything else”

The team did not publicly comment on the disease. The cancellation of the concert was also discussed on Instagram. Under the post, Springsteen fans are mostly understanding and express their wishes for recovery. “Get well soon to you and your family boss, that’s all a true fan wants,” wrote one follower. Another agrees: “Health is more important than anything else! Give yourself enough time to get healthy again.”

But occasionally the voices of disappointed and angry fans are loud. “All the way from the UK… Wasted travel and wasted money,” commented an apparently depressed fan. Another says they traveled all the way from Australia for the concert. Despite the cancellation, he wishes his idol a speedy recovery.

Bruce Springsteen knows best that health is his greatest asset. The musician is known for his sprawling concerts, which can last up to four hours. At one of his concerts in Amsterdam, he fell down a flight of stairs during his performance. True to the motto ‘The show must go on’, he took it with humor, stood up and continued to perform.
