Britney Spears is pregnant for the third time
It was her greatest wish, and now it finally seems to be coming true: Britney Spears is expecting her third child. The musician has now announced this in an emotional post on Instagram.
No longer under her father’s tutelage, Britney Spears is back in control of her life. The musician can finally decide for herself what is best for her. Having a baby has always been at the top of the list.
“I’m having a baby!”
And indeed: just a few months after winning the case, Britney Spears is pregnant. The 40-year-old has now announced this via Instagram. She tells her 40 million followers that she lost extra weight for her Maui vacation. “Just to gain it back,” she jokes on Instagram.
After the vacation, she asked herself what was wrong with her stomach. “So I got a pregnancy test.” And that was positive. “I’m having a baby!” She continues to write a photo showing a pink cup.
She further explains that she will no longer go out as much “because the paparazzi earn their money with me”. In addition, the musician reveals in the post that she suffered from peripartum depression in her first pregnancies. “I have to say it’s absolutely awful. Women didn’t talk about it back then.” This time she wants to do yoga every day.
Britney Spears already has two teenage children: 16-year-old Sean Preston and Jaden James, a year younger. The two sons come from the relationship with her then dancer Kevin Federline. She is now expecting her next child with husband Sam Asghari.
The couple met in 2016 on the set of their music video “Slumber Party,” in which he played her lover. On New Year’s Day 2017, the “Gimme More” singer publicized her relationship with the fitness trainer, who was twelve years her junior. The engagement followed in autumn 2021.
“They don’t want me to have any more children”
Britney Spears had wanted to get pregnant before but wasn’t allowed to. Since 2008 she was under the guardianship of her father. He not only determined the fortune of the successful singer, but also rigorously controlled her private life – even her contraceptive method.
“I have a spiral in me so I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have more children,” said the 40-year-old when she testified against her father last year. After a long struggle, she officially got her freedom back in November 2021.
