The TFF Board of Directors convened at the headquarters in Riva today.
At the meeting, TFF President Nihat Özdemir decided to resign.
It has been learned that the TFF administration, headed by Nihat Özdemir, has decided to hold elections and that they will officially announce it in the near future.
TFF Management is currently in a meeting with the Association of Clubs. At the meeting, which started at 14.00, club presidents were also present, while the agenda item was the broadcasting of the matches.
Before the meeting, a warm development took place and it was learned that Nihat Özdemir wanted to leave his job and resigned, even though he had one more year in office. It has been stated that Deputy Chairman Servet Yanık will be the chairman until the general assembly in June. It will be determined in the coming days whether there will be a meeting with an election clause in the general assembly in June.
Nihat Özdemir, who had problems with many club managers, especially Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç and Galatasaray President Burak Elmas, was allegedly brought to duty by ‘appointment’ method, despite receiving “179” votes in the TFF presidential election.
Nihat Özdemir was the target of criticism that he was ineffective, especially in the problems with the MHK and the broadcaster.
