Boy severally injured after strange train game goes wrong in Istanbul
A strange and dangerous game between teenagers in Turkey almost lead to the death of a 16-year-old.

The game consists of someone,on a train kicking the door of a train coming from the opposite direction.
The incident occurred on the rail way line between the Sirkeci-Halkalı provinces in Istanbul, where Ümit Çürükoğlu on a train going towards Sirkeci, had tried to kick the door of a train travelling from the opposite direction.
Çürükoğlu who opened the door of the train he was on and tried to kick the door of the train travelling from the opposite direction, lost his balance and fell between the two tracks due to the air pressure.
Passengers on the train instantly pulled the emergency break leaver and informed the train driver of the incident.
Commuters then carried the heavily bleeding teenager, off the rail lines and called the emergency services.
The emergency services which arrived at the scene also went through tough times as the teenager was left in the location of the incident for almost an hour as a stretcher could not be taken to Çürükoğlu due to their being no area of entrance to the railway.
The emergency services who constantly spoke to Çürükoğlu to keep him conscious eventually took the teenager to the Bakırköy Hospital where he went through several operations to repair fractures on his legs, face bones and skull due to the force of the fall.
Officials in Turkey have warned commuters and parents to watch out for such activities and inform train officials right away.
A train official said “a train travels at 70-100 Km/h, with the speed of the train on the other direction combined, the speed is 140-200 Km/h.
“These kids are literally playing with fire.”
However Turkish rail have also been criticized due to there being poor security locks on the train doors which can be opened in several of the older models while the train is moving.

This is a tragedy. I feel awful for the boy and hope he will recover. Teenagers everywhere sometimes do such stupid things and play with death. Poor boy. Hopefully, this will be the last of such a stupid prank/game.
