The Indian film-makers and Bollywood actors are returning to Indian administered Kashmir, where the violence levels have fallen considerably over the years.
Srinagar, Jan 28/Nationalturk -The Indian film-makers and Bollywood actors are returning to Indian administered Kashmir, which is witnessing turmoil since 1989 but, where the violence levels have fallen considerably over the years.
Even at this point of time, when upper reaches and mountains of Indian administered Kashmir are covered with snow and temperature in the night hovers many degrees below freezing point, a top Bollywood actor (Ranbir Kapoor) and actress (Deepika Padukone) are shooting in ski famous resort of Gulmarg, which shivered at a low of -8 – 6 degrees Celsius on Sunday evening.
Sources said Ranbir and other crew members arrived in Gulmarg on January 25 and next day started shooting for a Hindi film at Kongdori, Gulmarg at an altitude of 8875 feet. The film’s name is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD).
They said after finishing shooting in Gulmarg, the actors and crew members will leave for Pahalgam, where they will shoot some scenes. It is expected that some scenes of Kapoor and Padunkone may also be shot in the summer capital Srinagar.
Film being shot in two extreme temperatures
Sources said the film is being shot in two extreme temperatures. “Earlier, in summers it was shot in high temperatures in Rajasthan and now it is being shot in sub-zero temperatures in Kashmir”.
After the considerable decreased in violence in Indian administered Kashmir, the Bollywood filmmakers are turning back to the region. Last year, several top Bollywood filmmakers including late filmmaker Yash Chopa and actors including super hit star Shahrukh Khan visited Kashmir and shot some scenes of Jab Tak Hai Jaan in the picturesque Pahalgam tourist resort.
