Frank Ocean, R&B composer and singer is proud to be gay and America’s sweethart Beyonce congratulates him for the bravery he has shown following Beyonce husband Jay-Z’s support for Ocean.
Los Angeles / NationalTurk – After revealing details about his sexuality in the liner notes for his upcoming LP Channel Orange R&B crooner Frank Ocean has received increasing support from the US hip-hop community immensly and in a sensitive fashion. In addition to praise for his bravery and honesty from R&B and hip-hop spearheads like Russell Simmons and Jay-Z, Frank Ocean received a lovely gesture of support and solidarity from Beyonce.

On July 7, Beyonce took the sensitive issue to her website, posting a black-and-white photo of a serious, stoic-looking Frank Ocean who just a couple of days ago proudly announced his sexual affinity. Over the Frank Ocean image is a poem, reading: ‘ Be fearless/ Be honest/ Be generous/ Be brave/ Be poetic/ Be open/ Be free/ Be yourself/ Be in love/ Be happy/ Be inspiration.’
Frank Ocean, who wrote “I Miss You” off of Beyonce’s 4 and contributed hooks to two tracks on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne LP, is the latest to receive Beyonce graceful support on gay issues. In an interview last year with PrideSource, gay newspaper, the pop star iconnes singled out her homosexual fans for their bravery and truthfulness.
Beyonce spoke on homosexuality and all gays and lesbians who have to cover their gayish intentions for survival : ‘ The amount of confidence and fearlessness it takes to do what maybe is not what your parents expect you to do or what society may think is different – to be brave and be different and to be yourself – is just so beautiful,’ Beyonce, mother of Baby Blue Ivy noted. ‘ Not worrying about satisfying or becoming what other people think you’re supposed to be, that’s like the ultimate dream.’ Beyonce added and displayed her solidarity with gays.
