Inspired Lionel Messi leads Barcelona to Champions League Quarter finals with a 4-0 win over German side Stuttgart.
Lionel Messi scored twice and assisted another to show that he truly is the best footballer in the world.
Stuttgart went into the Champions League knockout stage second leg match against Barcelona with some hope after the first leg ending with a 1-1 draw.
But Messi’s presence was visible from the start of the game with the football magician scoring a beautiful goal in just the 13th minute. Messi received the ball and juggled passed 3 players before striking it from 25 yards to the top left corner of the goal. Barcelona 1-0 Stuttgart.
Ex-Arsenal goal keeper, Jens Lehmann along with the Stuttgart defence can only watch in desperation as the young star did his magic.
The Argentinian had already shown he was in-form after his sensational hatrick in La-Liga against Valencia in the weekend.
Messi then made a superb assist to Yaya Toure who slipped the ball across the area to young winger Pedro to slot the ball in to the back of the net. Barcelona 2-0 Stuttgart.
With the second half starting the game could have gone only one way with Stuttgart looking almost as if they new their fate.
Barcelona turned on there style with confidence boost from their first half performance.
Messi “the magician” scored his second and teams third goal on the 60th Minute after a cheeky back heel by Dani Alves left the ball in front of the Argentinian who easily passed Gebhart and slotted the ball home just behind the area. Barcelona 3-0 Stuttgart.
Bojan Krkić sealed the game with his first and his teams fourth goal, minutes after coming on for Andrés Iniesta after a brilliant pass from substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic which left the 19-year-old one-on-one with Lehmann.
The young star slotted the ball passed the German goal keeper to make it Barcelona 4-0 Stuttgart.
