Barcelona try to sweeten the deal with Arsenal for Spain Midfielder Cesc Fabregas, as they offer Alcantara as part of £50m deal.
Thiago Alcantara has been offered to Arsenal as part of Barcelona’s latest attempt to capture Spain Midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Barcelona, after failing to transfer Arsenal talented midfield dinamo Fabregas last summer, are willing to let Alcantara move to London as part of a £50million transfer deal.
Midfielder Alcantara is the son of former Barcelona player Mazinho and the 20-year-old has found some playing time towards the end of the La Liga season. But it seems unlikelys he’s gonna play much longer periods of time in the coming season when Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola wants to strengthen his squad with some star signings. The Catalan giants desperately try to tempt Fabregas back to the club he left as a teenage footballerin 2003.
Reports in Spain suggest Thiago Alcantara met Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger when Barcelona were in London for the Champions League final.
Alacantra to Arsenal, Fabregas to Barcelona
The 20 year young player, born in Italy, is elligible to play for Spain at the Under 20 World Cup and played against England’s youngsters in the same age group at last summer’s European Championships. He made his Barcelona debut as an 18-year-old in May 2009 and scored his first goal in February 2010.
Cesc Fabregas has made no secret of his desire to return to his homeclub Barcelona but reports state Barcelona’s great rivals Real Madrid have also made the 24-year-old their primary target. Last year after Spain won the World Cup, Barcelona players, who play for Spain National Team, tried to convince their teammate Fabregas in yhe public for playing for Barcelona.
