Us President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet early next month amid growing Iran Israel tensions .

Washington / NationalTurk – US President Barack Obama will host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamín Netanyahu on March 5th, the White House informed.

The announcement was made at the end of a three-day visit to Israel by US National Security Advisor Thomas E. Donilon, who met  with Israel PM Netanyahu and other executives of the Israeli government.

The presidential visit is part of the continuous, intensive dialogue between Washington and Tel Aviv and reflects our unswerving commitment to that nation, stated a White House correspondent.

During his stay in Israel, Donilon also met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Chief of General Staff Benny Gantz and National Security Advisor, Gen. Yaakov Amidror.

The declaration of the visit comes as Washington and Tel Aviv administrations are supporting joint economic sanctions with the European Union to thwart Iran’s plans to develop a nuclear energy program. Iran stresses its nuclear program is designed for peaceful purposes, while Israel and its closest ally USA say Iran will use its nuclear program for military purposes. Israel and Netanyahu has threatened repeatedly to attack Iran on the grounds that Israel considers the Persian country’s nuclear program ‘ a severe threat ‘.

Meetings between top U.S. and Israeli officials have been more frequent in recent months as tensions between Israel and Iran have intensified. Usa sends troops to Israel and neighbouring Gulf countries.
