Atletico Madrid’s new signing Arda Turan has been introduced to Atletico fans and press members at a press conference at Vicente Calderon.
Spanish and turkish press showed great interest to Arda’s intoduction. Turkish star footballer thanked Atletico Madrid Sports Club and stated ” I am humbled and grateful to Atletico Madrid for greeting me in such manners, i needed that”
Arda Turan answered questions from local and foreign press members in the VIP section at Vicente Calderon, just before having been introduced to Atletico Madrid fans. He said ” i am very happy here, where i was greeted warmly”

On a question regarding his easy manners in front of cameras, he answered ” i don’t get nervous in front of media”. Arda dismissed speculations on his current injury and said, he would be ready for team training in 5-6 days.
He described his favourite position on the pitch as left wing, but the Turkey international stressed he could play as AMC but in the end it does not matter where at the pitch he would stand. Arda also said, he is excited to play with the likes of Forlan and Reyes and he believes in himself and his potential to be a better player.
Turkish media members asked Arda Turan about his aims at Atletico, he answered that playing first team football regularly would be great and fighting and giving tremendous effort on the pitch every game would be his initial aims and more important than scoring and assisting.
Arda Turan put Atletico Madrid jersey and went on the pitch of Vicente Calderon, as 500 Atletico fans cheered wildly for the turkish international.
