American Idol has come out with some very interesting characters in the past few years and as always this is applicable to the 2010 American Idol too.

With the most fun and arguably the most exciting stage over, off to Hollywood with the finalists who managed to shine some of their star light to the judges.

The Hollywood knock out rounds can be an upsetting round for the American Idol fans and obviously to the contestants as the uplifted hopes of so many contestants are dashed away.

The fans in the other hand see some of their favourite contestants whom they follow and have some sort of emotional relation just chucked out.

This weeks American Idol however had some difficult times but the most talked about person was without a doubt was Andrew Garcia.

Garcia had already touched the hearts of so many Idol fans with his story of gangs and his family. But his performance in this weeks American Idol with his soulful acoustic interpretation of Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” was something to be remembered.

But what put Andrew Garcia more in the attention light was Kara DioGuardi’s comments comparing Garcia’s show-stopping performance to Adam Lambert (and not Kris Allen) that has sparked a passionate debate amongst “Idol” fans.

Regardless of the arguments, fighting, heartbreak, happiness and the wrest of all the things that you watch American Idol for, one thing is for sure and that is, we are in for a roller coaster few months.
