Alain Robert has made a name for himself as the real Spiderman after the Frenchman started climbing up huge skyscrapers without any help and no ropes, harnesses or safety mats.

The 48-year-old was arrested on Sunday as he reached the top of the 57-storey building in Sydney, Australia where the police had been waiting for him.

The Frenchman stopped at one point while climbing the building to put up a banner promoting a website called onehundredmonths.org which is a website dedicated on climate change.

Robert climbed the Lumiere building in just 25 minutes and is considered to be one of his less dangerous stunts compared to the Empire State Building, the Sears Tower and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur which he has climbed.

It has been estimated that the real Spiderman has climbed over 85 skyscrapers and tall buildings including some of the worlds tallest.

The Frenchman has also been known to be paid to climb up buildings as a publicity stunt and he was also seen with a “ZOO” t-shirt while climbing the Lumiere building.
