Scary death streak among “Goodfellas” stars / Paul Sorvino dead

His wife (54) was by his side when he passed away, Sorvino’s spokesman said. The actor died of natural causes and had health problems in recent years.
He had three children, including Oscar winner Mira Sorvino (54, “Beloved Aphrodite”).
On Twitter, she said goodbye to her father with an emotional post: “My heart is torn – a life full of love, joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. Sending you love in the stars dad as you soar.”
The New York-born actor of Italian descent has been in front of the camera since the 1970s. In addition to Karl Malden († 97) and Michael Douglas (77), he also appeared in the TV series “The Streets of San Francisco”.

Scary: Sorvino joins a sad series of deaths among “Goodfellas” actors. At the end of March, actor Paul Herman died at the age of 76 – on his own birthday. He played a role as a dealer in the mafia film, and embodied shady guys again and again in other productions.
Then, at the end of May, Hollywood legend Ray Liotta died at the age of just 67. He died “completely surprisingly” in his sleep, his spokeswoman said at the time.
Liotta had one of the leading roles in “Goodfellas”, playing gangster Henry Hill – it was his breakthrough in the industry.
The last “Goodfellas” star to die before the late Sorvino was Tony Sirico. In the Mafia film adaptation he played the gangster Tony Stacks. He died just two and a half weeks ago in a Florida nursing home at the age of 79. Sirico had suffered from dementia for several years, but the cause of death has not yet been revealed.
