Abdullah Gul Calls on Arab Leaders to Heed People
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Monday that Arab leaders need to listen to people’s demands and desires.
“Administrations (in Arab world) must need to take heed of people’s demands and desires,” Gul told reporters following a meeting in Istanbul, after being asked his comments on recent developments in Libya.
Meanwhile, 120 more Turkish nationals arrived home on Monday on a flight from Tripoli, bringing the total number of Turks evacuated from Libya to 700.
On Monday afternoon, Turkish government sent two ferries to evacuate more Turkish nationals stranded in Libya due to ongoing unrest in the North African country after air traffic has been disrupted.
