Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone has denied the allegations to stroke the local media in Brazil.
Reports about Sharon Stone being admitted to a Syrian-Lebanese Hospital after a suspected stroke have been called absurd and completely inaccurate.
The ‘Basic Instinct’ actress Sharon Stone was in the Brazil for a charity gala, when she began to feel unwell, it is reported.
The reports claims that she was rushed to a hospital where doctors treated her for a suspected stroke.
The actress previously suffered a stroke in 2001.
However a report in another Brazilian newspaper claims that the 56-year-old was suffering from a bad case of flu.
Although not seen as regularly on screen as in her heyday in the 1980s, the star is kept busy with her charity work.
Friends told The National Enquirer that whatever the health scare was, they hope it will force the actress to slow down.
She regularly travels around the globe to raise funds for various charities.
The star made an appearance at another charity gala last night – showing no signs of any ill health.
She was speaking at the opening of the InnovAge Greater California PACE health care center for senior citizens in San Bernardino, California.
She gave a speech in a smart grey suit at the event.
The star was later photographed smiling as she mingled with other attendees.
The reports in the Brazilian media aren’t without foundation however – Stone was hospitalised in 2001 for a subarachnoid hemorrhage stroke created by a torn artery at the base of her skull.
In a 2003 she took part in a commercial to raise awareness of stroke symptoms.
Her representative has said that there is no truth in these reports and that the 56-year-old actress is fine and is currently working on a new movie, Daily Express reported.
According to a report in the May 5 edition of the National Enquirer, Stone stayed in a hospital for two days, which raised concerns amongst her friends that she is working too hard.
